Two owners, Dennis and manager Cinda Wood moved to Oklahoma in 1980 with two small children. In order to stay at home to raise their children, Cinda started working from home, making floral arrangements and selling at craft shows. After the children entered grade school, they opened a gift shop and added the floral section one-year later. Cinda noticed in 1997 that many of her customers were requesting flower shop listings to order flowers direct and also noticed the increase of customers buying over the web. In 1998, she and husband Dennis with Harry and Phyllis Johnston started remindsme.com now FloralandGift.com as a local internet source of florists nation wide. The free floral ideas section quickly was added to help draw more internet viewers and certainly has become a major draw. In 1999, Dennis and Cinda, realizing the increase of web sales and changes of downtown business costs, decided to move their floral shop and the internet business next to their home. In home businesses have great advantages over downtown businesses, especially in overhead costs. The increase in emails from internet visitors prompted a monthly newsletter which sends out new ideas weekly and now with the amount of page views and regular visitors to the site, sponsors are working with FloralandGift.com to exchange advertising of our site.

Florists Review, the nation's number one floral trade magazine has negotiated a 2/3 ad monthly over the next year and also has helped to increase monthly page views with their 80,000 subscription list. One other area in which Floralandgift.com has helped to increase the number of work at home moms is our exchange of advertising with web design moms. An example of this is found in our Austin, Texas local ads page with "Lets Make Pages" exchange of links. Our directory is set up to advertise local business and this exchange of advertising benefits both companies.
